Shepherds Bush Housing Association has been providing affordable quality housing across west London for more than forty years. Based in Hammersmith, it owns and manages almost 5000 properties across ten London boroughs.
The accommodation provided ranges from one bedroom flats to family homes; Victorian street properties to award-winning new developments. The priority is to build safe, strong, inclusive communities where people feel at home. The residents come from an eclectic range of backgrounds. Many families are on low incomes and are referred from the local council lists of those who need housing. They are also culturally diverse with more than 40% from the black and minority ethnic community. Through SBHA these people are offered affordable rented accommodation, temporary accommodation, new and refurbished homes, and accommodation for key workers, such as nurses and hospital staff. SBHA also helps people on lower incomes to buy homes through shared ownership.
The work of SBHA creates real homes and communities where people want to live. A core belief is to get the best value so that residents get the best service possible.
