The property market in Brighton is being helped out by the government's Homebuy Direct scheme, it has emerged.
Crest Nicholson noted how the scheme is helping people secure a property at its One Brighton development for less, as they pay just 70 per cent of its value.
Chris Warner, sales and marketing director, Crest Nicholson Regeneration, said: "Just over a third of homes at One Brighton have now been sold, with only ten apartments remaining in the first phase.
"The ongoing popularity of One Brighton is very gratifying, especially given recent market conditions."
Residents at the properties can benefit from rooftop allotments and balcony planters as the developer looks to encourage them to grow their own produce.
The chancellor announced in his latest Budget that more money would be given to the Homebuy Direct scheme, which gives people the opportunity to get their hands on their ideal property for less.
