House hunters searching for a stylish new home in Herefordshire are encouraged to register their interest in Shobdon Oaks, a new development of three, four and five bedroom homes by Taylor Wimpey coming soon to Shobdon.

Prospective purchasers are invited to visit the house builder’s nearby Morgans Orchard development in Kington to find out more about the development and have a look at the plans.

Close to a host of local facilities and services and within easy reach of the A44 for commuting, Shobdon Oaks is expected to attract a wide range of purchasers with the first homes due to be released for sale from Morgans Orchard in October.

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director, comments: “We’re really looking forward to the launch of our new Shobdon Oaks development as we feel that it will offer an opportunity to secure a stylish, modern home in a desirable setting. As we’ve been building in the region for a number of years, many people will be familiar with the quality and design of our homes so we’re expecting a lot of interest from buyers.

“The development will provide a fantastic selection of properties suitable for young professionals, investors, downsizers and growing families. The first release of homes is expected to sell out quickly, so I’d recommend that buyers act now and register their interest to make sure they are among the first to snap up one of our beautiful homes.”

Residents at Shobdon Oaks will find a well stocked shop, a hairdresser and a pub in the village while a supermarket and wide variety of shops, cafes and antique shops can be found in nearby Leominster, which dates back to the 7th Century.

The beautiful village of Shobdon is surrounded by stunning countryside offering plenty of opportunities for residents to explore with long walks or bicycle rides. Longer walks include the Offa’s Dyke Path, a National Trail which has been created following the line of the dyke - an old earthwork boundary between England and Wales built by order of King Offa of the ancient kingdom of Mercia.

When the sun is shining Queenswood Country Park has numerous footpaths through pretty woodland and a picnic area to rest those weary limbs after all that walking! For wine lovers Broadfield Vineyards in Bodenham, which is near to Queenswood, sell one of the few English wines available.

In wet weather the National Trust has several properties in Herefordshire including Cwmmau, an early 17th century timber framed, stone tiled farmhouse, which is near Kington. Berrington Hall, a neo-classical mansion with landscaped gardens designed by ‘Capability Brown’ and Croft Castle, which has one of Hereford’s finest restored walled gardens, are also within easy reach.

For further information visit Morgans Orchard between 10am and 5.00pm.
