With the latest positive reports that mortgage approvals are 81 per cent higher* this month than in August, Taylor Wimpey Exeter is urging house hunters in Plymouth and Cornwall biding their time to get the best bargain to make their move now to avoid missing out.
The house builder, which has sold 200 homes this year across its seven developments, believes the combination of low interest rates, competitive house prices and a wider range of mortgages, makes now the perfect time to buy.
Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “It’s no surprise that record low interest rates and more affordable property prices have been attracting savvy house hunters for a number of months now.
“However, the clear signs of sustained house price growth and news that high street banks are beginning to lend more freely – with price wars breaking out between two major players - is surely the clearest sign yet that the property market is getting back on track. Those who have put their moving plans on hold in the hope of prices falling even further should rethink their strategy to avoid missing out.”
Taylor Wimpey Exeter is currently building a number of new developments across Plymouth and Cornwall under its George Wimpey and Bryant Homes brands. House hunters looking for their dream home should visit Torrington Gate in Torrington, Madison Mews in Hayle, Warleigh Village and Carrollsland in Plymouth, Manor Oaks in Tavistock, Chancel Park in Pinhoe, An Arvor in Duporth and Acres Edge in Helston.
