Barratt Homes currently has Derbyshire properties on offer priced from £71,995 and is keen to reassure potential buyers that the purchasing process can be carried out quickly.
James Poynor, sales director for the division, said: "With Christmas fast approaching, people perhaps think there isn't enough time to move into a new home, but I'd like to assure them that the process can be done in just four to six weeks."
He was keen to point out the energy efficient heating and high standards of insulation on offer in Barratt houses, which could be just what homeowners want as the nights are becoming colder.
Mr Poynor said anyone wanting to reserve a home now could be sure of being in their property of choice in plenty of time for the festive period starting.
Barratt started in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1958 and acquired Wilson Bowden in early 2007.
