Property buyers seeking
affordable homes should look to make a purchase before the reintroduction of stamp duty.
This is according to developer Crest Nicholson, which has warned those currently in the market that the land tax will be reinstated on December 31st.
Presently, buyers looking for a home priced at between £125,000 and £175,000 can save one per cent on the price of a house due to the waiver.
Sales and marketing director for Crest Nicholson (South) Tracey Brady said that the firm has a "fantastic range" of
affordable homes that are eligible for stamp duty exemption.
These can be found at the company's Q2 development in Reading, where prices for a one-bedroom apartment begin at £154,950.
The site is located close to Junction 11 of the M4 and is also near to Reading train station.
"Homebuyers should move quickly
as the deadline is approaching quickly," Ms Brady advised.
Crest Nicholson describes itself as a "leading developer" that specialises in creating sustainable and eco-friendly homes that output minimal levels of carbon dioxide.
