News of a £1.7 million government grant may please first-time buyers.
In order to try and rejuvenate the housing market, the money is being given to Barratt North Midlands' Saxon Village development in Grantham.
The cash is part of a £450 million government scheme called KickStart and various projects around the country have been awarded certain sums.
Mark Cotes, technical director at Barratt North Midlands, said the news should be welcomed by anyone looking to get on the property ladder in Grantham.
"This is a major national scheme and to qualify for the money we had to meet some extremely tight criteria," he said.
"The fact that Saxon Village was chosen is a great vote of confidence in this outstanding development."
Saxon Village is situated off Dysart Road and residents could benefit from the nearby infrastructure.
Grantham railway station offers services to London and Edinburgh, while the town also has the A1 road pass through it.
