Despite the recent uncertain state of the property market, George Wimpey North Yorkshire’s Thorntree Vale development has remained popular with new house hunters. Phase one of the development has now sold out and a new sales area and new show homes are opening early next year.

From a total of 319 properties, three quarters of Thorntree Vales 120 apartments are sold, and nearly half of the houses have been snapped up, leading the housebuilder to believe that this is one of its most popular developments to date.

The development, located on Millbank Lane in Thornaby, is made up of one and two bedroom apartments, two bedroom mews homes, three bedroom terraced homes, and three and four bedroom, three storey townhouses. Prices start at £69,950 for an apartment and £124,950 for a house.

After Christmas, new Ryton, Brentwood and Arlington show homes will open, along with a brand new sales centre. The Arlington and Brentwood are both four bedroom townhouses, whilst the Ryton is three bedroom end terrace.

Bev Russell, sales manager for Thorntree Vale, says: “We’re delighted with the response we have had to the first phase of homes here and we hope that the new homes will be just as popular. By refreshing the show homes and sales area we hope to give visitors a look at the development from a different viewpoint and to remind them that although one section of the development is sold out, we still have some fantastic homes to come.

“For those interested in the new homes, please give us a call or come and visit us and register your interest and we can keep you up to date with developments.”

Thorntree Vale is close to Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough and is only a short drive from the A19 and A66, offering commuters good access to the A1 motorway.
