Buying a brand new home at East Moor Village has really paid off for a newly married couple when they moved to the Taylor Wimpey development in Newcastle Great Park, just a couple of weeks after their wedding.

In a purchase made possible by Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange and House to Home schemes, Sharon and Malcolm Gilligan were the first to reserve and move into a home at East Moor Village, enabling them to select their favourite house and plot.

Sharon Gilligan, a Health Service Manager said: “We wanted a bigger property which didn’t need any work done on it, in a location close to where we both work in the Newcastle area. A friend of mine saw a story in the newspaper so we decided to come and visit. When we saw the design of The Ripley we instantly fell in love and decided to buy it then and there. The build quality of Taylor Wimpey homes is in a different league to other housebuilder’s we’ve seen.

“The fact that we were the first to buy at East Moor Village was a fantastic advantage for us as we could choose any of the plots we wanted. There is great storage throughout the property, fantastic insulation and a lovely balcony off one of the bedrooms.”

The Gilligans moved into a spacious four bedroom detached Ripley home which benefits from a large lounge, separate dining room, study, kitchen and utility room on the ground floor. Upstairs is the family bathroom in addition to the four bedrooms, with the master bedroom featuring an ensuite shower room. Prices for a Ripley home at East Moor Village start from £249,995.

The Gilligans were thrilled with the Part Exchange scheme they used to swap their old home in nearby Kingston Park for their new Ripley home. Sharon said: “All I can say about Part Exchange is that it is zero stress. All the hassle and worry is taken out of selling your old home and you can get the price you want for it which made us really happy.”

Katie Fairley is the sales executive at East Moor Village and is someone the Gilligans couldn’t speak more highly of. Sharon commented: “Katie’s input should not be underestimated. She is fantastic and unrivalled to any other sales executive we’ve met. Her attention to detail was second to none and she made sure we had our dream home just the way we wanted it.”

As well as four bedroom family homes, East Moor Village also offers buyers a selection of stylish three and five bedroom detached homes. The development features nine different house designs starting from £249,995.

A brand new Ripley show home has recently opened at East Moor Village to help homebuyers envisage what it would be like to live at the development.

As well as enjoying all the benefits of living in a modern new-build home, residents at East Moor Village will also enjoy Newcastle Great Park’s proposed new town centre being just a short walk from their front doorstep, offering retail, health, leisure and community facilities.

Newcastle Great Park is also one of the most accessible locations in the North east by air, rail, road or sea, making it a superb location for those who need to commute to work. More locally, Newcastle City Centre itself is just a short Metro ride away.
