Consumers are beginning to get back some of their confidence in
property investment, an expert said this week.
Philip Lacey is a sales director at David Wilson Homes and commented as the developer announced it has now sold five homes at a site in Leicester that will be ready for habitation in 2010.
The company confirmed each of the houses had been purchased off-plan after the second phase was released earlier than scheduled, due to an "increase in demand".
Mr Lacey said the development, Humberstone Lodge, is in a popular location.
"It's proving a big hit," he added, going on to say that off-plan
property investment is good "for customers who are keen to make their home their own before even stepping foot inside".
A selection of home styles is available at Humberstone Lodge, including three and four-bedroom options.
Meanwhile, this week also saw David Wilson Homes announce that families in Derbyshire could find the affordable home they are looking for at the area's City Point site.
It highlighted this week's top house - plot 150 - which is £229,995 with four bedrooms.
