One builder of new homes is celebrating triumph over a number of major developers.
The company excelled over Miller Homes and Barratt among others to take home two prizes.
Judges noted that Crest Nicholson's continuing strive to better the company in spite of difficult times all round for the industry was commendable and demonstrated "commitment to keeping sustainability going".
It swept up both of the Home Builders Federation - in association with the National House-Building Council - large companies' category Housebuilding Innovator of the Year and Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year accolades.
Stephen Stone, chief executive of Crest Nicholson, commented on the nature of the awards, saying: "As a responsible developer, the need to reduce carbon emissions and tackle the problems posed by climate change remains an integral part of our group strategy."
He added that the company is of the belief that carbon emissions are the one thing not in recession so it remains important to use new eco-friendlier technologies and drive forward innovations.
Another prize that the company was proud to win back in 2007 was the Queens Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
