Time is running out to secure a retirement apartment at McCarthy & Stone’s Cobbett Court development in Highworth, Swindon.

There are just four apartments left at the development on Hammond Close, with availability on the ground, first and second floors. The last properties are all one bedroom apartments comprising an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, double bedroom and a bathroom. All of the remaining apartments come complete with carpets and curtains.

Designed especially for retirement living, special care and attention has been paid to incorporate features such as 24 hour emergency Careline call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

Residents at Cobbett Court can also enjoy landscaped grounds, socialise and relax in the communal lounge, use the TV/ computer room and invite family and friends to stay in the development’s guest suite. A large feature window has also been incorporated into the design to provide a relaxing vantage place.

Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, comments: “To make the most of your retirement years you want peace of mind, comfort and independence. At our Cobbett Court development, residents can enjoy just that and more. The final apartments are ready to move into straight away and we’d urge anyone considering retirement living to get in touch now to make sure they don’t miss out on the opportunity to become part of the thriving community at Cobbett Court.”

Cobbett Court is an exclusive collection of 49 retirement properties located on Hammond Close in the old market town of Highworth. Everyday amenities can be found right on the doorstep, including a butcher, baker, green grocer and pharmacy. A bus stop is also located adjacent to the development.

Just a short walk from Cobbett Court is a library, a supermarket and Highworth Recreation Centre, which offers fitness sessions for the ‘young at heart’ and an over 60’s social club.
