People in Dorchester are invited to join residents at McCarthy & Stone’s Culliford Court development on Culliford Road North this month for a special Christmas carol concert performed by Sunninghill School in support of West Dorset Women’s Refuge.

The event takes place on Thursday 3rd December from 2.00pm. Visitors will be able to talk to Councillor of Dorchester, Mollie Rennie, about the important work West Dorset Women’s Refuge does and, at 2.30pm, enjoy a carol concert, performed by Sunninghill School Choir. Complimentary sherry and mince pies will also be served throughout the course of the afternoon.

Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, comments: “We are absolutely delighted that Sunninghill School Choir has agreed to put on this wonderful concert at Culliford Court and I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at the development.

“However, this isn’t an event for just our residents to enjoy! We welcome anyone who wants to join in the festivities, find out more about how they can support the invaluable work at West Dorset Women’s Refuge or simply have a look around the development to find out what life at Culliford Court is like.”

Collection boxes will be located at the development for visitors to make a voluntary contribution to the charity.

Culliford Court is a development of 46 one and two bedroom retirement apartments exclusively for the over 55’s. The development is located on a tree lined road in the historic town of Dorchester, nestled in 1.5 acres of grounds and less than 550 metres from the pedestrian shopping area at South Street.
