First-time buyers are placing a firm foot on the property ladder thanks to Government loans covering up to 30% of their new homes at Great Easthall, Taylor Wimpey’s popular development in Sittingbourne, Kent – and now just four more opportunities remain.

HomeBuy Direct is a shared equity scheme allowing qualifying customers with a household income of less than £60,000 a year to secure 100% of their new home for as little as 70% of the purchase price.

The remaining sum is covered by a great-value loan, co-funded by Bryant Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency, which is interest-free for the first five years and low-interest for up to 20 years thereafter.

Many first-time buyers have already taken advantage of this groundbreaking scheme at Great Easthall, and the good news is that by acting quickly, four of today’s purchasers could qualify too – and benefit from low 2009 property prices into the bargain.

Tina Westlake, Regional Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey, says: “HomeBuy Direct is a strictly limited offer which first-time buyers simply cannot afford to miss.

“Property-seekers who move quickly enough to take advantage of this great deal can snap up a stylish two-bedroom apartment with a mortgage of only £70,000 or a three-bedroom house with a mortgage of just £111,997.

“Those who reserve their brand new, maintenance-free home today at today’s low prices can look forward to moving in as early as March 2010.”

Under the HomeBuy Direct scheme, just three two-bedroom apartments, each featuring a spacious lounge/diner adjoining an open-plan kitchen, a master bedroom with en-suite plus a second bedroom and main bathroom, are available from as little as £70,000.

And fast-moving HomeBuy Direct customers looking for something a little more expansive can alternatively choose the three-bedroom ‘Wessex’ house, priced £111,997 under the initiative.

This charming terraced home features a large lounge/dining room which opens through French doors to the enclosed rear garden, plus a separate contemporary kitchen and a guest cloakroom off the private entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a splendid master bedroom with en-suite facilities, as well as two further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

All four homes available using HomeBuy Direct at Great Easthall benefit from an allocated parking space, and all are finished to the same high standard specification, including gas central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The development enjoys an excellent position in the lively market town of Sittingbourne, home to a good selection of major high street stores, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Nearby Faversham, Maidstone and the Medway towns of Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester widen the choice of shopping, sporting and leisure attractions.

The area is home to a good choice of schools, while commuters will appreciate easy access to the A2, the M2 and M20 and regular rail services from Sittingbourne station – just a short walk away – to both London Victoria and Gatwick airport.
