Boasting an enviable location and an exclusive offering for the over sixties, it’s easy to see why McCarthy & Stone’s retirement apartments at Coleridge Court in Clevedon and Fussells Court in Worle are proving so popular.

Despite the challenging economic climate both developments have been hugely successful, selling out 50 per cent of properties since launching earlier this year.

Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, attributes the success at the developments not only to their unique offering, but also their fantastic location. She explains: “We are delighted with the success we have been experiencing in Somerset but we’re not surprised that these developments have proved so popular. Both offer a combination that ticks all the boxes – a desirable location, easy access to everyday amenities and stylish designs that people can really see themselves living in.

“We believe that with good advice and support, now is a great time to buy. Properties at the right price, like those at Coleridge Court and Fussells Court, are attracting a lot of attention from buyers so I’d encourage prospective purchasers to come and see us soon to avoid disappointment.”

Fussells Court is located in the village of Worle, Weston-super-Mare, within easy access of the High Street with its many shops and amenities, while Coleridge Court is in the seaside town of Clevedon, 13 miles west of Bristol.

The apartments at both developments are ideal for retired purchasers looking to maintain their independence in later life. Special care and attention has been paid to incorporate features such as electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

In addition, as part of the retirement developer’s continuing efforts to reduce its impact on the environment, the apartments at Coleridge Court have been designed and built using materials from sustainable sources, and methods that create less waste, resulting in lower running costs for residents.

Residents at Coleridge Court can also enjoy beautiful gardens - the Land Yeo River runs through the development - while the gardens at Fussells Court overlook Worle Recreational Park. In addition, both developments benefit from a communal residents’ lounge and a guest suite for visiting family and friends.
