Affordable homes are up for grabs in the south Midlands, according to one property developer.
David Wilson's Deer Park site is now participating in the HomeBuy Direct shared equity scheme, which could provide prospective buyers with a helping hand to buy a new home.
The three-bedroom Downing style home on plot 96 is currently on offer on the programme.
Initially HomeBuy Direct set out to assist first-time buyers in getting their first foot onto the property ladder and the scheme is available from developers on specified new-build properties.
As a government programme it was introduced in reaction to what is said to have been the worst housing market conditions since the 1990s, based on evidence collated by the Regional Development Agencies.
Thanks to the initiative, owning a modern family home, including a master bedroom with en-suite and a family bathroom, could now become a reality with David Wilson.
Jackie Day, sales director at the company, said: "During a time of economic uncertainty, HomeBuy Direct was introduced in a bid to make the buying more affordable."
She added that as the scheme has proved beneficial on other David Wilson sites, the company made the decision to roll it out at Deer Park.
