Steve Faulkner had always dreamed of owning a brand new home but thought he would have to compromise on space to afford the move.

However, the 45-year-old telecoms manager is now living in his dream home at Redrow’s Aaragon Mews venture in Bracknell.

“I always liked the thought of moving into a brand new house but didn’t think I could afford to buy a new build,” he explained.

“I lived in Bracknell and was aware of the new homes being built by Redrow at Aaragon Mews and thought it was a nice area so when my circumstances changed and I had to move I went for a look at the show home.”

Steve’s previous home was a four-bedroom detached property.

“I was looking to downsize to a property with three bedrooms but thought I would have to make do with just two. When I saw advertisements for the new homes at Aaragon Mews, I discovered I could get the home I wanted for a price I could afford,” he said.

As well as being more affordable than he imagined, buying a new build home also meant that unlike some older properties it didn’t require expensive repairs or renovations before Steve could move in.

“When I looked around the house it was already fitted out and ready to move in. I really liked the layout and the finishes,” he said.

Aaragon Mews is part of the wider Jennett’s Park joint housing venture.

In the future Jennett’s Park will include a country park of 91 acres and will also come complete with a doctor’s surgery, primary school and 10 play areas. Approximately half of the development is set aside for open space, retained woodland and recreational areas.

“I would recommend moving to Jennett’s Park because they are building homes and amenities for the future but you don’t feel like you are at the centre of a big development because it’s close to the country,” Steve commented.

A selection of three and four-bedroom homes are currently available at Aaragon Mews, with prices starting from £279,950.
