Two daredevils from leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey are on cloud nine – after completing an exhilarating skydive for charity.

Carolyne Watkinson, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, and Mark Stewart, Assistant Site Manager at Taylor Wimpey’s Trent Mills development in Long Eaton, reached freefall speeds of more than 120mph as they plummeted to earth from 13,000 feet.

The plucky pair have raised £240 for CANCERactive thanks to the friends, relatives and colleagues who sponsored their hair-raising adventure.

And with their feet back on solid ground after the experience of a lifetime, both admit they would jump at the chance to do it all again.

Carolyne (41), of Burbage, Leicestershire, says: “I like to scare myself and I have wanted to do a skydive for some time, so when the opportunity came up to do this for charity I knew I had to take it.

“It’s hard to put the experience into words but if I had to choose one to sum it up, I would say ‘exhilarating’! It was the best thing I have ever done in my life and I would definitely do it all again if I could.”

Carolyne chose to raise money for the CANCERactive charity after members of her family had been affected by the devastating disease, and intrepid Mark needed little encouragement to get involved in the daring venture at Langar Airfield in Nottinghamshire.

“It’s something a bit different and certainly not your normal weekend out,” said the 33-year-old from Lincoln.

“The feeling of actually jumping out of a plane is indescribable. I can’t compare it to anything else I’ve ever done and it’s definitely something I shall be doing again.”

Carolyne is Sales Manager for 10 of Taylor Wimpey’s new homes developments across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
