UK house prices rose 1.7% in November 2009, the Communities and Local Government (CLG) house price index has revealed.

Prices rose 3.5% in the quarter ending November 2009, bringing the mix-adjusted average UK house price to £200,454. CLG said that from November 2008 to November 2009 prices climbed 0.6%.

The annual average house price paid for new properties has risen 0.4% in a year, with home owners paying an average of £182,047 for a new build property in November.
