People looking for cheap homes in Watford are being invited to attend an event to raise awareness of the government's HomeBuy Direct scheme.
The initiative was launched last year to encourage people to invest in property and was originally meant to expire in March 2010.
However, high demand for the programme, coupled with its success in financially supporting first-time buyers, led to its extension until the end of the year.
Now, Barratt Homes is hosting an information day for HomeBuy Direct at the Ramada Jarvis hotel in Watford this weekend.
Financial advisors will speak to prospective purchasers about their plans between 10:00 and 16:00 on Saturday, January 30th.
Chris Scarborough, sales director of Barratt North London, said: "We held a similar event last summer as we were aware that many young people locally did not fully understand the government initiative.
"The day was a huge success and we were able to help young purchasers to understand the benefits of the scheme and allow them to find out more about buying a new home in the current financial climate."
