Shropshire property-seekers in search of the ultimate in stylish contemporary living are being urged not to miss a fantastic new collection of stunning barn conversions – coming soon to Taylor Wimpey’s Oakham Manor development in Telford.

An exclusive range of just five beautiful one and two-storey homes – all careful re-imaginings of existing farm buildings which have been designed to retain attractive original features – are being released for sale this summer.

Demand is expected to be high for the unique one, two and three-bedroom designs, and would-be buyers are being encouraged to register their interest now to stand a chance of securing one for themselves.

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “It’s not often that opportunities like this come along and we’ve already received a large number of enquiries about these superior-quality barn conversions – before the drawings have even been released to the public.

“Prices are yet to be finalised for this select collection of brand new homes, but they will represent the same exceptional value for money as all the other properties available for sale at Oakham Manor, part of the popular Lightmoor Village community.

“Reservations will be taken at a date to be confirmed in the summer and on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. All those with an interest in taking advantage of this rare opportunity are advised to contact us without delay.”

Quick-off-the-mark property-seekers can put their names at the top of the list to choose the one-bedroom, single-storey ‘Laburnam Cottage’, the two-bedroom, single-storey ‘Lilac Cottage’ or a trio of two-storey designs including the two-bedroom ‘Foxglove Cottage’, the three-bedroom ‘Haybarn Cottage’ and the three-bedroom ‘Farmhouse’.

Each barn conversion blends the traditional architecture of the original building with striking contemporary styling and is completed to a high standard specification including double glazing, central heating and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood. Included with each plot is a garage and additional parking or two allocated parking spaces.

All new homes at Oakham Manor are fitted with eco-features as standard including high levels of loft insulation, water-saving devices and A-rated appliances.

A new 210-place primary school is due to open at Lightmoor in September 2010, and will have seven classes, a social play area and a multi-use games area for a range of sports and outdoor activities.

There will also be facilities within the school building to benefit the wider community, including meeting rooms, a hall, indoor sports and recreation areas and changing rooms, with long-term stewardship of the whole development to be secured by a specially convened Village Trust.

Lightmoor Village nestles in beautiful landscape between Telford and Coalbrook Dale and benefits from over 50 acres of open landscaped areas for leisure, sport and recreational use.

The community will also be well-served by existing and new public transport links, with a bus service to Telford town centre where a wider range of shops and schools for children of all ages can be found.

Commuters will appreciate that the M54 and M6 just a short drive away, while Telford’s railway station provides links to Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
