McCarthy & Stone has this month revealed the name of its exciting new retirement living development located on Penn Road in Hazlemere.
The new development will be called Hughenden Court, named after the famous Hughenden Manor, former home of Victorian prime minister and statesmen Benjamin Disraeli, and now part of the National Trust estate.
Sharon Callcut, sales and marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone South East, comments: “We wanted to come up with a name that not only reflected the history of the local area but also homes past and present and Hughenden Court seemed a befitting name for the new development.
“Furthermore, Hughenden Court will really extend the town’s offering to the over 60s by providing people in later life with continued home ownership, independence and security.”
Hughenden Court will be a select development of just 32 one and two bedroom independent living retirement apartments, each comprising an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Some properties will also benefit from a balcony.
Designed especially for retirement living, special features, such as 24 hour emergency Careline call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating, will be incorporated into each of the apartments.
Residents at Hughenden Court will also be able to enjoy beautiful gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family or friends to stay at the development’s guest suite.
