Taylor Wimpey has challenged students at Coety Primary School to get their thinking caps on and come up with a name for its new development at the Parc Derwen site, being built off Heol West Plas.
As well as being able to name Taylor Wimpey’s latest site, the pupil who comes up with the winning suggestion will be invited to attend the official opening event, where they and the two runners up will be presented with their prizes. As a thank you to all the pupils at Coety Primary School for taking part, the housebuilder will also donate £200 to the school for new books and equipment.
Sara Taylor, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “We’re very excited about our new development in Bridgend, which follows the success we’ve experienced at our nearby developments Glyn Mynydd in Godre’Graig and Groeswen Parc in Margam. We would like to involve the community surrounding our new scheme from the very beginning and, with the development just down the road from Coety Primary School, who better to work with in naming it?”
Miss Ellis, head teacher at Coety Primary School, said: “We are excited to be asked to come up with possible names for Taylor Wimpey’s new development. Each of our classes will be getting involved and we hope to come up with a memorable name for the new housing scheme in nearby Bridgend.”
Once complete, the new development will consist of a stylish selection of two, three and four bedroom homes.
