Taylor Wimpey is unveiling three new show homes this weekend (27th and 28th February) to give buyers a taste of life at Scholars’ Rise on Marton Road.

The four bedroom detached Hurstwood, three bedroom semi-detached Wessex and three bedroom Aston townhouse are the first show homes at Scholars’ Rise and as such are the first chance for visitors to see the true potential of the development.

When finished Scholars’ Rise will have over 250 three and four bedroom luxury homes. The homes will be in terraced, semi-detached, townhouse and detached style, providing something for all types of househunter.

Beverley Russell, regional sales manager for Scholars’ Rise, said: “The show homes add an extra element to the package, as buyers can get a real idea of what their home could look like. When you walk around the homes you can appreciate just how much space there is and visualise how it would look if you lived there.”

Currently available at Scholars’ Rise are the three bedroom semi-detached Ashbourne and Aston homes and the three bedroom Harvington. All are three storey properties with a private garden and parking facilities. Prices start from £149,950.

The development’s location on Marton Road means that it is a quick trip up the A172 to reach Middlesbrough city centre, while the James Cook University Hospital, the local Toby Carvery and smaller shops are also right on the doorstep of the development. Stewart Park and Albert Park are also nearby, as is Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre.

For commuters, Scholars’ Rise has easy access to the A66 and A19. Nearby Marton train station offers services into Middlesbrough as well as to Nunthorpe, Whitby, Hexham and Darlington, while Middlesbrough station itself offers wider services, including to Manchester. Travelers interested in venturing further a field will benefit from Scholars’ Rise’s close proximity to Durham Tees Valley Airport.

Middlesbrough city centre has an excellent range of facilities, from shopping malls and multi-screen cinemas to theatres, art galleries and museums.

Night owls will benefit from the town’s lively scene of clubs, traditional pubs, bars, bistros and restaurants, while those keen on more active daytime pursuits will have their pick of leisure activities ranging from swimming, squash and martial arts to more rural pursuits available just beyond the town, including golf, fishing, and sailing.
