A new homes development in Cambridgeshire has a range of deals that could suit young families and those just starting out in the property market.
The Meadows is in the village of Eye which is located near the Cambridgeshire Fens. Nearby, within two miles, is the city of Peterborough, which has a busy town centre and several historical attractions ideal for family days out.
The city is undergoing regeneration, which has made it one of the few areas in the UK to show growth in the past few years despite the tough climate. It was also made one of the UK's four green hubs and currently has the largest number of 'green' businesses in the UK.
For nature closer to home, Eye possesses its own wildlife reserve and is also close to walkways, wildlife conservation areas and woodlands.
For those needing to travel for work or leisure, the A47 and A1 are nearby. It is just under an hour away from Kings Cross, London and has direct links to Stansted Airport, meaning a weekend away could involve the minimum of travelling.
Larkfleet Homes is offering multiple deals on two bedroom starter homes and three, four and five bedroom properties suitable for families of all sizes. The development, which is now selling its fourth phase of homes, won a Your New Home Awards Award in 2008.
The properties range in price from around £185,000 to £225,000, but could come cheaper for
first time buyers applying for the HomeBuy Direct scheme. Prospective home-owners with an income or joint income of under £60,000 could get up to 30 per cent off the purchase price.
Buyers not eligible for this scheme, who are looking for a four-bedroom home, could get five per cent off the deposit for the 'Sandown' property, which is priced at £225,000.
The master bedroom has an en-suite and a walk-in wardrobe. Downstairs, there is an additional breakfast area in the kitchen, as a well as a dining room, large lounge, utility room and an extra WC.
