More people could be tempted to invest in new homes in the north-west following the Mipim conference taking place in France.

The Liverpool Post has placed particular importance on the conference, which runs until Friday (March 19th) as a way of spreading the world about the city's regeneration efforts.

It said Liverpool needs ensure that its developments are "promoted far and wide" in order to reach an international audience.

"Mipim is a shop window of opportunity for the city, the chance for the city to build relationships and have meaningful conversations with the right people," the newspaper stated.

There is also the possibility that the conference will generate new income streams for Liverpool as it highlights its economical and cultural assets in addition to its attractiveness among tourists.

Approximately 18,000 people from 80 different countries are taking part in this year's Mipim conference, with it featuring an exhibition zone, conferences and promotion opportunities.

According to the event's organiser, the main benefits for attendees are networking, identifying prospects, promotion and learning.
