High demand from property-seekers has prompted Taylor Wimpey to unveil a brand new selection of homes at its sought-after Earls Meadow development in Wem, Shropshire.

Eager buyers have been taking advantage of favourable conditions in the property market to choose houses and apartments from this stunning collection, and now the leading housebuilder has opened up a wealth of fresh opportunities for home-hunters in the area.

Quick-off-the-mark purchasers can now reserve their favourite designs from the range of one-bedroom apartments from just £89,995, two-bedroom starter homes from only £118,950 and spacious three-bedroom houses from as little as £139,995.

And to make choosing a new place at Earls Meadow even more appealing, the fantastic HomeBuy Direct scheme is available on selected properties, letting qualifying buyers secure their brand new home for only 70% of the purchase price!

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re offering homebuyers even more choice by releasing our entire allocation of 2010 properties at Earls Meadow ahead of schedule.

“There’s something available for everyone and HomeBuy Direct presents a unique opportunity for first-time purchasers who might otherwise be priced out of the homes market to step on to the first rung of the property ladder.

“The superb prices of the brand new homes at Earls Meadow also make them perfect for those in search of a great-value buy-to-let investment.”

Under the HomeBuy Direct initiative, funded jointly by Taylor Wimpey and the Homes and Communities Agency, customers need only raise a 5% deposit and the housebuilder will help arrange a mortgage covering 65% of the purchase price.

The remaining 30% equity comes in the form of a great-value loan which is interest-free for the first five years and low-interest for up to 20 years thereafter.

The scheme, which is ideal for key workers such as hospital staff, means that a one-bedroom ‘Elm’ apartment priced from just £89,995, with spacious lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, good-sized bedroom, bathroom and allocated parking, can be secured with a deposit of only £4,500 and a mortgage of just £58,500.

Alternatively, fast-moving buyers at Earls Meadow can choose the two-bedroom ‘Ashby’ terraced home – an ideal investment property from only £118,950 – or three-bedroom designs including the semi-detached ‘Croxton’ from £139,995, the semi-detached ‘Witham’ from £149,950, the detached ‘Barwell’ from £149,950 and the detached ‘Severn’ from £155,000.

All new homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification including central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood, and come with at least one allocated parking space or a garage.

A range of special homebuyer incentives is available as an alternative to HomeBuy Direct, including help with deposits for first-time buyers, discounts for members of the armed forces, and assistance with finding a purchaser for those with a property to sell. Incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with further information available from the Sales Executive.

Earls Meadow is a superb mixed development on the outskirts of the lovely market town of Wem, bordering scenic open countryside.

Close at hand are the larger towns of Shrewsbury and Telford, which provide ample opportunities for shopping, leisure and eating out, while the bustling metropolitan centre of Birmingham and the outstanding natural beauty of Snowdonia national park are both within easy reach.
