New Show Apartment Highlights New Homes in Bolton from only £52,495

Taylor Wimpey Manchester launches a new showhome at Millgate in Bolton next weekend, the 10th and 11th April. Visitors will be able to see a beautifully decorated Geneva apartment, which, through Taylor Wimpey’s popular HomeBuy Direct scheme, is available for as little as £52,495.

The Geneva show apartment officially opens its doors at 11am on Saturday, along with a new sales office that has also been introduced at the development.

Geneva apartments comprise two bedrooms, combined living/dining room, separate kitchen, bathroom and allocated parking space. The show apartment has been superbly styled by Taylor Wimpey’s own team of expert interior designers.

Usually, these apartments are available from £74,995 but, under HomeBuy Direct, the purchase price could fall to just £52,495, with only a five per cent deposit required.

Both Royal Bank of Scotland and Halifax are offering 95% mortgages for potential purchasers who take advantage of the HomeBuy Direct scheme at the development. With a purchase price of just £52,495, this means that mortgages are available for first time buyers at Millgate with as little as £2,625 deposit.

HomeBuy Direct is a government-backed scheme aimed at helping purchasers with a household income of less than £60,000 afford the home they want, subject to eligibility and affordability checks*.

Under the scheme, buyers are provided with an interest free equity loan for up to 30 per cent of the value of the property for the first five years, co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and Taylor Wimpey, helping first time buyers overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits.

Taylor Wimpey Manchester sales and marketing director Anthony Mansfield said:

“HomeBuy Direct is helping some people get a foot on the property ladder who thought they might never get the chance. Monthly repayments are low and with the mortgages available for new homes at Millgate, there is also less need for a big deposit.

“And the new Geneva show apartment at Millgate will highlight the stunning apartments that available at the development for less than £53,000.”

The comparatively low cost of owning a new home doesn’t stop once the purchase is complete. Industry experts say that running costs are significantly lower for a new home when compared to equivalent older homes. Research by National Energy Services found that average energy bills for a new build home could be as much as £556 cheaper than older home.**

All new homes at Millgate come complete with a 10 year warranty offered by the NHBC (National House Building Council). A two year Taylor Wimpey warranty is also offered, covering some items not included in the NHBC Buildmark scheme.

Other incentives are available at Millgate, including Taylor Wimpey’s popular Recommend a Friend scheme. Under the scheme, when someone recommends another person who goes on to buy a home at the development, both parties are rewarded with £500 from Taylor Wimpey.

Millgate is located just outside Bolton town centre and within easy reach of the M60 motorway and the town’s wide selection of High Street stores, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants
