First-time buyers, movers and investors have snapped up all but a dozen new homes at George Wimpey’s ultra-stylish Images development in Gants Hill, Essex.

And with interest continuing to run high, those who haven’t yet secured their place within the landmark building in a superb commuter location are urged to visit Images before it’s too late.

One-bedroom apartments at the development start from only £159,995, offering delightful accommodation suited to first-time buyers and comprising a living room with private balcony, an open-plan kitchen, a well-proportioned bedroom and a bathroom.

The final selection of two-bedroom apartments has also just been released for sale, priced from a great-value £210,000, each benefiting from an en-suite to the master bedroom in addition to a main bathroom – ideal for friends sharing a first home together, and a real plus-point in adding rental potential.

Two-bedroom designs also benefit from private balconies, and each apartment at Images comes with a fitted kitchen including built-in oven, hob and hood and has an allocated off-street parking space.

To assist qualifying first-time buyers, George Wimpey is offering to pay 5% towards the deposit on selected homes while they are still available. By visiting the Sales Centre at the development, potential homebuyers can find out more about the incentive, as well as viewing details of the final eight two-bedroom apartments at Invito, Images’ sister development in Gants Hill.

Images is an iconic replacement to the landmark Odeon Cinema on the Gants Hill roundabout, using materials such as glass and zinc to offer a superb Docklands feel. Designed with real people and real lifestyles in mind, the dynamic design caters for modern, 21st century London living.

The building offers panoramic views over city landmarks, including the London Eye, the Gherkin and the O2 Arena, while the overall scheme features a collection of delightful communal areas, including a shimmering glass rotunda entrance tower, and an impressive plaza and central podium with paved areas, seating, lawns and landscaped shrub beds.

Gants Hill itself is home to a range of stores, cafes, restaurants and bars, while the new homes are a short stroll from Gants Hill Underground station, and only five stops from Stratford, ensuring new residents are perfectly placed for Docklands, The City and for the 2012 Games.

Images has been shortlisted for a First Time Buyer magazine readers’ architectural award, with the winner to be announced by Phil Spencer from Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location at a special ceremony in London on Thursday 22nd April.
