Moving in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a special Moving Solutions day, exclusively for the over 60s, at its Manaton Court development in Launceston.

The event, which is taking place on Thursday 29th April from 2.00pm and 4.00pm, will be an opportunity for people interested in moving to get impartial advice from a range of professional advisors.

Visitors will be able to get mortgage advice from HBFS Financial Services, speak to Citrus Group about Part Exchanging their existing property and chat to a range of local solicitors and estate agents. House to Home will also be on hand to talk about its free decluttering, packing and removals service.

In addition, visitors will be able to speak to McCarthy & Stone’s experienced sales consultants about the benefits of Retirement Living and enjoy a tour of Manaton Court.

Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, comments: “Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you. Our Moving Solutions event will not only give visitors the opportunity to get impartial advice on all aspects of moving, they will be able to find out about the benefits of Retirement Living at Manaton Court.”

Manaton Court is an intimate collection of 32 one and two bedroom retirement apartments situated in the historic town of Launceston. The Retirement Living development offers independence combined with the peace of mind of additional security, low maintenance, companionship and continued home ownership in later life.

Special care and attention has been paid to each apartment to incorporate features such as 24 hour emergency call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a video entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

The stunning development also benefits from a communal resident’s lounge with a large decking area overlooking the gardens, a guest suite, laundry room and a lift to all floors.
