Building on the early success of its New Heritage Collection, Redrow is releasing a further wave of the popular new homes in Lancashire.

A selection of two and three-bedroom homes will be available at Cedar Walk, part of the Buckshaw Village development in Chorley – bringing the traditional looking new homes in reach of even more buyers.

And there’s valuable help available for people struggling to afford a home of their own.

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that’s been wowing customers since the launch earlier this year. We’ve already seen phenomenal sales success at Buckshaw Village with our three and four-bedroom family homes and some larger four, five and six-bedroom luxury homes.

“This latest release of smaller New Heritage Collection homes will let even more people in on the act and is sure to be popular with first time buyers, couples and young families. Some of the plots will even be available with the Government backed HomeBuy Direct scheme, which reduces the initial purchase price by up to 30%.”

The new release includes the two-bedroom ‘Evesham’ and the three-bedroom ‘Broadway’.

“Both of these homes are ideal for buyers stepping onto the first rung of the property ladder, and are equally well-suited to downsizers looking for somewhere more manageable,” Christine commented.

“Simple, yet spacious, the ‘Evesham’ features an open plan living/dining area with separate kitchen; while the ‘Broadway’ enjoys the added benefit of an en-suite to the master bedroom.”

Prices at Cedar Walk range from £139,995 to £164,995, putting them well below the stamp duty threshold for first time buyers.

HomeBuy Direct makes owning your own home more affordable by offering eligible customers with an annual household income below £60,000 an equity loan for up to 30% of the purchase price. The loan is interest free for the first five years.

It’s not just HomeBuy Direct that can save people money – the properties being brand new is a bonus too.

“People think they want an older property, buy one and then spend thousands of pounds and invest a lot of energy turning it into something that a new home already offers,” Christine commented.

“Buying one of our new homes could save you a massive amount of time and money, as behind the traditional exteriors there’s a contemporary interior specification, featuring convivial open plan living spaces, fashionable kitchen designs with floor to ceiling units, central islands and top brand name appliances, plus bathrooms that are sleek, modern and pleasing to the eye.”

Buckshaw Village is already a thriving community, situated between the bustling towns of Chorley and Leyland. Along with the new homes, there is a successful business park and proposals for a district shopping centre, provision for a new railway station with park and ride facilities, a primary school, health centre and outdoor sports amenities.
