According to Age Concern up to £5 billion goes unclaimed by older people each year, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a free Financial Health Check Day at its Stanhope Court retirement development in Horsforth.
On Wednesday 28th April Kathy Tedstone, from Helen Brown Financial Services, which specialises in advising retired homeowners, will be at the development to inform visitors and residents of entitlements they may not be aware of. Kathy will talk about various benefits, including Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Council Tax, Health Benefits, Winter Payments, Pension Credit and how to claim them.
The Financial Health Check event is free and there is no obligation, but attendance is by appointment only.
