Retirees in Moseley are being invited to make McCarthy & Stone an offer for one of their apartments at its Lorne Court development in Moseley.

The retirement developer is holding a special Sealed Bid* event at the development on Saturday 1st May 2010. Anyone interested in making an offer for one of three specially selected apartments should pre-register their interest on or before Saturday 24th April by calling the sales office at Lorne Court.

The apartments will be open for viewing from Tuesday 27th April to Saturday 1st May and all bids should be made in writing at the development on Saturday 1st May 2010 by 4pm. The successful bid is subject to legal completion by 20th August 2010.

Robin Pike, sales and marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone Midlands, explains: “This really is a chance of a lifetime to purchase a fantastic retirement apartment at an extraordinary price – and the perfect opportunity to enjoy life at Lorne Court. We will only be accepting offers on one day and all reasonable offers will be considered. The three apartments will revert back to their original price after the event so we are urging homebuyers to qualify now to make sure they don’t miss out!”

The successful bidder will be notified by Tuesday 4th May 2010.

Apartment 4 is a delightful one bedroom apartment located on the ground floor of Lorne Court, benefitting from a patio door in the lounge opening out onto the landscaped gardens.

Apartment 19 is a fantastic two bedroom apartment located on the first floor at the front of the development, enjoying a bright south easterly aspect.

Finally apartment 34 is a light and spacious one bedroom apartment located on the second floor, which features a French balcony off the lounge.

Designed especially for retirement living, special care and attention has been paid to incorporate features such as electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a video entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

Residents at Lorne Court can also enjoy landscaped gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family and friends to stay in the development’s guest suite.

Lorne Court is a development of 39 one and two bedroom apartments with prices starting from £129,950. Located on School Road and close to the shopping district of Moseley, the development boasts an enviable location in an area reputed to be the bohemian quarter of Birmingham. Though the city is just a 15 minute journey by public transport, the village is never short of award-winning floral decorations, and a 15 minute bus ride in the opposite direction leads to glorious countryside.
