Ditching the DIY and buying a brand new Redrow home in the Birmingham suburb of Oldbury could save you thousands of pounds.

Lynne Gardener, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Buyers who opt for a brand new Redrow home at Charter Place could save time and money, compared with those who choose an older, second hand property.

“Why spend thousands of pounds and hours of your precious time carrying out repairs and renovations to bring an older property up to scratch when you could buy one of our brand new homes and have everything included? Designed for modern living, homes at Charter Place boast contemporary kitchens and sleek bathrooms fitted with quality fixtures and fittings.”

Current availability at Charter Place includes a selection of apartments, with a further wave of three-bedroom homes soon to be released. Prices start from just £81,250 for a one-bedroom apartment.

A new ‘walk through’ apartment will enable potential purchasers to picture themselves living at Charter Place.

“Some people simply like the idea that no-one else has lived in their home and for others one of the big plus points is that brand new homes are built to energy efficient standards, making them potentially cheaper to run,” Lynne commented.

“Buyers can also enjoy peace of mind, knowing that their investment is covered by a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ guarantee.”

With no upward chain holding new owners back, those who are ready to go may be able to move in quickly. Help is also available for those who may be struggling to raise a large cash deposit to secure their dream home.

“At Redrow we understand that it can be difficult to raise a large cash deposit; that’s why we’re offering to contribute 5% towards customers’ deposits on selected plots at Charter Place. For some it could be the help they need to step onto the property ladder,” Lynne added. “And remember, there’s no stamp duty for first time buyers to pay on homes up to £250,000.”

Charter Place is conveniently close to Birmingham city centre, Wolverhampton and Halesowen; while leafier locations are also nearby in the shape of Woodgate Valley Country Park, which is just one mile away and offers no less than 450 acres of meadows, hedgerows and woodland.
