George Wimpey Manchester is bracing itself for a surge of interest from purchasers who have been struggling to raise large deposits or find a suitable mortgage.
The housebuilder has introduced the hugely successful HomeBuy Direct scheme on a limited number of Wyre and Arun housetypes at its Manor Court development on Steley Way in Prescot.
Under the scheme, buyers are provided with an interest free equity loan for up to 30 per cent of the value of the property for the first five years, co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and George Wimpey helping first time buyers overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits.
With the purchase price of an Arun housetype being £161,995, this means that, with HomeBuy Direct, Arun housetypes are available from just £113,395.
Wyre homes at Manor Court are usually priced at £145,995. Under the HomeBuy Direct scheme, the purchase price falls to just £102,195.
Just five per cent deposit is required to buy a home at Manor Court under the scheme.
This means that a new three bedroom home is available at Manor Court from just £485 per month. A small deposit of just £5,110 is required.
George Wimpey Manchester sales and marketing director Anthony Mansfield said:
“HomeBuy Direct really does give help people onto the property ladder who never thought they stood a chance, but there is limited availability at Manor Court. Potential purchasers are urged to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
The Arun is a beautiful three bedroom town house spread across three floors. As well as the three bedrooms, one of which includes an en-suite bathroom, Arun housetypes boast a Juliet balcony to the lounge, a cleverly designed combined kitchen and breakfast room, family bathroom, downstairs cloak room and private garden.
Arun homes come complete with integral single garage.
The Wyre also has three bedrooms, one of which comes complete with an en-suite bathroom. Other features include a spacious lounge, separate kitchen, a private garden and an allocated parking space.
Manor Court, situated on Steley Way, is a beautifully crafted selection of one and two bedroom apartments and three bedroom townhouses.
Positioned in the suburbs of Liverpool, Manor Court is just a short drive away from the M56, M62 and M58, which offer links across the North West to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
Manor Court also benefits from a range of local amenities thanks to its proximity to Prescot town centre, which has a wealth of local shops and traditional pubs. Cables Retail Park also features high street shops such as Next, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins and one of Europe’s most visited Tesco supermarkets. Popular family venue Knowsley Safari Park is situated five minutes away from the development.
