Private home sales at Bovis are 14% up on the the same period last year, with the company selling 938 homes to the end of April against 823 last year.

In a statement to the City on performance since January 1, Bovis said that weekly reservation rates were in line with expectations and sales prices modestly ahead. The firm is focusing on land acquisition and has added 811 plots on seven sites to its consented land bank with terms agreed on a further 18 sites providing around 2,500 further plots.

Bovis said that the general election had created uncertainty but looking ahead it expects trading to continue to be stable.
