When Alastair Jones and Sarah Moore decided to leave their London flat for a larger home in a more peaceful location, the last thing they wanted was a potentially troublesome property chain standing in their way.

So when the soon-to-be-married couple found out they could swap their existing property for a brand new four-bedroom home at Taylor Wimpey’s Radial development in Slough, they knew the opportunity was too good to miss.

Credit analyst Alastair (28) and 29-year-old Sarah, who is a TV news reporter, loved the location of this popular community on the edge of open countryside and boasting convenient transport links to their respective jobs.

And by taking advantage of Part Exchange, they were able to avoid the hassle and stress usually associated with selling a property, and went from reserving their brand new home to exchanging contracts in a matter of a few weeks.

“Radial offered everything we were looking for in a new home but Part Exchange was probably the clincher for us,” says Alastair.

“Sarah has had a bad experience of trying to sell a property in the past when the purchaser pulled out at the eleventh hour, so it was fantastic not to have to worry about anything like that happening and everything went through so quickly.”

Alastair and Sarah, who are due to tie the knot in June, moved into their new home at Radial a week before Christmas and they are enjoying getting used to their new way of life.

“We’re settling in very well and we’re very happy here,” says Alastair. “The location is fantastic – it’s so convenient for transport, it’s got everything we need close by and we can see green fields from where we live.

“By buying brand new, we also had the added benefits of a two-year Taylor Wimpey warranty and a 10-year guarantee from the National House-Building Council – plus the fact that our home was a blank canvas for us to complete to our own requirements.”

Although Taylor Wimpey’s Radial development is now completely sold out, Part Exchange is available on selected properties at a number of the leading housebuilder’s other developments across the West London region, which can be viewed at www.taylorwimpey.co.uk.

Under this straightforward scheme, customers receive the market value of their current property – based on the average of three independent valuations – off the price of their brand new purchase.

Meanwhile, property-seekers like Alastair and Sarah looking for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of London without leaving behind the convenience of the city can choose from a stunning selection of brand new homes at Taylor Wimpey’s Kings Park development in Cippenham.

To find out more about the range of stylish two-bedroom apartments through to spacious three and four-bedroom houses – with prices starting at only £184,995 – Kings Park can be visited between 10.30am and 5.30pm seven days a week.
