Dreaming of buying your own place but haven’t won the lottery? Help is at hand if you visit Taylor Wimpey’s Henley Grange development in Halesowen or its Dudley development The Hedgerows!

The housebuilder is helping first time buyers to get on to the property ladder by offering the Government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme* at the NHBC award-winning developments, which is designed to help purchasers with a 5% deposit and a joint household income of just £17,000 afford the home they want.

Using the scheme you can snap up a chic two bedroom Linley apartment for less than £66,500 at Henley Grange or a two bedroom Cherwell apartment for just £69,997 at The Hedgerows.

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director, said: “The Chancellor’s decision to raise the stamp duty threshold was one welcome boost for first time buyers and we’re giving another at our Henley Grange and The Hedgerows developments, by offering the fantastic HomeBuy Direct scheme. This is a great way for purchasers to afford their first home as it’s designed to overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits, which we know are preventing many people from buying.

“Our stylish two bedroom apartments are the perfect starter home as their affordable prices puts them within reach for a first time buyer, while those who want to jump up the ladder can take a look at our three bedroom houses. If you’re a first time buyer struggling to get onto the property ladder why not pay us a visit to find out more? You never know, you could be moving into your dream first home sooner than you think!”

Those using the HomeBuy Direct scheme will have access to an interest free equity loan for up to 30 percent of the value of the property, co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and Taylor Wimpey Midlands.

Henley Grange comprises a collection of 154 mews-style homes and contemporary apartments located within the established residential area of Belle Vale. The development enjoys a semi-rural feel with the River Stour close by and attractive woodland and public open space to the rear.

The Hedgerows offers a collection of two, three and four bedroom properties, ideally located in the town of Gornal, on the edge of Dudley. It is within easy reach of many attractions, including Birmingham city centre and The Merry Hill Shopping Centre which offers over 200 stores – perfect for those spending sprees!
