Moving in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding two special Moving Solutions events, exclusively for the over 60s, at its Retirement Living development, Ormond House on Roche Close, and its Assisted Living development, Coachman Court on Ashingdon Road.

The events, which are taking place on Thursday 20th May from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Coachman Court and from 1.00pm to 4.00pm at Ormond House, will be an opportunity for people interested in moving to get impartial advice from a range of professional advisors.

Visitors will be able to get mortgage advice from Vantis Financial Management Ltd, speak to ARC about part exchanging their existing property and chat to a range of local solicitors and estate agents. House to Home will also be on hand to talk about its decluttering, packing and removals service.

In addition, visitors will be able to speak to McCarthy & Stone’s experienced sales consultants about the benefits of Retirement and Assisted Living and enjoy tours of the developments.

Wendy Slingo, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South East, comments: “Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you. Our Moving Solutions events will not only give visitors the opportunity to get impartial advice on all aspects of moving, they will be able to find out about the benefits of our two types of developments - Retirement Living at Ormond House and Assisted Living at Coachman Court.”

Ormond House comprises 29 one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments designed exclusively for people over the age of 60 who want a manageable and secure home that enables them to maintain their independence.

Assisted Living from McCarthy & Stone provides a real alternative by bridging the gap between conventional retirement developments and residential care and the development consists of 66 one and two bedroom Assisted Living apartments at Coachman Court.

For further information, please visit the show complexes at either development. Ormond House is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.00pm; Coachman Court is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
