Award winning developer Crest Nicholson has been awarded top marks for customer satisfaction by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), the leading representative body for private housebuilders across the UK and Wales. In its annual Customer Satisfaction Survey, the results of which were announced last week, the HBF has awarded Crest Nicholson an outstanding 5 out of 5 stars as a testament to the company’s commitment to delivering high quality housing combined with excellent customer service.

This approach is clearly evident at Camelot Gardens, Crest Nicholson’s landmark development in Ruddington where just three homes remain to be sold.

Olga Korn, who bought a two-bedroom coach house style apartment at Camelot Gardens, said: “When my long term relationship ended, I wanted to buy a home of my own but wanted somewhere that was easy to manage and wouldn’t need a lot of work doing to it.

“Sally Hall-Carter, the sales consultant, showed me the houses that were available and explained that with HomeBuy Direct I would only have to pay 75% up front and that the rest would be covered by an equity loan from the Government and Crest.

“I didn’t want and couldn’t have afforded a big house - my two-bedroom coach house apartment is exactly what I was looking for. It’s perfect, almost like a detached house and I’ve got no adjoining neighbours.”

The HBF’s annual survey is a self-completion postal census sent to nearly 33,000 purchasers who have legally completed between October 2008 and September 2009. Aimed at those who have purchased from one of the UK’s largest 15 housebuilders, this is the HBF’s fifth annual customer satisfaction survey since the report was first launched in 2005 and reveals the highest overall results across the entire industry for the last five years. The report grades developers on varying aspects of service to give an overall banding based on ‘Quality of home’ and ‘Recommendation’. Crest Nicholson scored 5 stars in each category, which equates to 90% or more of respondents stating that they were ‘very’ or ‘fairly satisfied’ with the quality of their new home , with the same percentage saying that they would be willing to recommend Crest Nicholson to a friend.

Amanda Benjamin, sales manager at Crest Nicholson, said: “Buying a new home is one of the most important decisions we make, and making sure that our customers are well looked after is a real priority for us. It’s fantastic that we’ve been recognised for this at a national level, but it’s important to realise that this is a constantly evolving process and so we are always looking for ways to improve our customer relationships on an ongoing basis. Equally, as a company it’s vital that we continue to ensure that we are building the sort of homes that people actually want to live in, and it’s been great to see that Camelot Gardens has already proven to be so popular.”

The remaining properties at Camelot Gardens are priced from £193,950.
