Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is offering fantastic incentives at two of its popular developments in Northamptonshire to give first-time buyers a leg-up on to the property ladder.

The fantastic HomeBuy Direct initiative means first-time buyers can purchase selected properties at Taylor Wimpey’s Poppyfields development in Corby for just 70% of the full price.

At Appleton Gate, a George Wimpey-branded development also located in the up-and-coming Northamptonshire town, buyers can secure their home with only a 5% deposit thanks to the Deposit Match scheme, which instantly doubles their down-payment on selected properties.

Just one of the homes available with the HomeBuy Direct and Deposit Match incentives at Poppyfields and Appleton Gate is the stylish three-bedroom ‘Heather’ terraced house.

Ideal for individuals, couples and young families, this delightful property features a good-sized lounge/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a thoughtfully-designed kitchen and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, along with two further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while a single garage is also included in the great-value price of the property.

Like all new homes at Appleton Gate and Poppyfields, the ‘Heather’ enjoys a high standard specification including central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen complete with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The ‘Heather’ is priced from only £129,995 at Poppyfields, and can be secured for as little as £90,996 under the HomeBuy Direct scheme.

The lucky purchaser who moves quickly enough to secure this highly desirable property needs only to raise a 5% deposit – just £6,500 – and Taylor Wimpey will help arrange a mortgage covering 65% of the full purchase price.

The remaining 30% equity is provided jointly in the form of a great-value loan which is interest-free for the first five years and low-interest for up to 20 years thereafter.

Meanwhile, at Appleton Gate, one fast-moving buyer can secure the ‘Heather’, priced £134,995, with a deposit of only £6,750.

Under the Deposit Match incentive, the housebuilder will provide an equal sum as an interest-free loan which is repayable over a 10-year period.

Kelly French, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Through these fantastic initiatives we’re making it easy for first-time buyers to take their first steps on to the property ladder – and there’s no need for them to spend months, or even years, saving for a substantial deposit.

“But with interest from prospective purchasers remaining high at both of these sought-after developments in Corby, I would advise anyone interest in taking advantage of HomeBuy Direct or Deposit Match to contact us without delay – and make sure they don’t miss out!”

Appleton Gate and Poppyfields are both ideally located within easy reach of Corby town centre, home to a vast array of independent and high street stores, leisure facilities, pubs and restaurants, as well as schools for children of all ages.

For commuters, the developments are a short drive from the A14, providing easy links to the M6 and M1, while regular services operate from Corby rail station to the main line at Kettering, putting London just an hour away by train.
