Former Redrow boss Neil Fitzsimmons has today taken over as chief executive of the Gladedale Group after a year out of the industry. He is joined by Colin Lewis, also ex-Redrow, who has been appointed chief operating officer. They join another former Redrow man Alan Bowkett who is the group's non-executive chairman.

Fitzsimmons replaces David Gaffney who is stepping down after eight years to pursue personal opportunities in the property sector. A spokesperson for Gladedale said the firm was grateful to Gaffney and wished him success in the future.
