Locals in Chester are being invited to join residents at McCarthy & Stone’s award winning retirement development Forest Court to enjoy ‘Pimms on the Roof’ in support of the Royal British Legion!
The event will take place on Wednesday 14th July, from 6.00pm until 8.00pm, and visitors will be able to enjoy traditional summer refreshments while taking in views of the city from the roof terrace at the development. The retirement specialist will be collecting on the day in aid of the Royal British Legion, its ‘Charity of the Year’.
Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, for McCarthy & Stone, comments: “We are experiencing such beautiful weather at the moment so we thought what better way to showcase our stunning roof terrace and raise funds for our chosen charity than hosting a Pimms on the roof event! We look forward to welcoming locals to the event, and hope that we will help raise vital funds for the Legion.
“Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the stylish show apartments and communal areas at the development. Our expert sales team will also be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have about the moving process. If you’d like to find out more about the lifestyle you could be enjoying, come along and join us – but places are limited so you’ll need to book your place.”
McCarthy & Stone has pledged to raise £30,000 for the Royal British Legion during the year from April 2010. The Legion, which is in its 90th anniversary year, is one of the UK’s leading military charities, providing financial, social and emotional support to service people past and present and their families.
The development of 53 one and two bedroom retirement apartments in the heart of Chester is perfect for anyone looking to make the most of their free time in a vibrant setting.
