Wadebridge Ambulance Hall said a big thank you to McCarthy & Stone this month after the retirement developer donated £250 towards the cost of repairing and redecorating its premises.
McCarthy & Stone, who is currently selling retirement apartments at its development Olde Market Court in Wadebridge, was approached by the management committee of Wadebridge Ambulance Hall earlier this year to help with the renovations.
Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, explains: “Our development Olde Market Court backs on to the Ambulance Hall so we were aware that work was being done. Many of our residents attend social events at the centre so when we were approached and asked to make a donation, we were only too happy to help our neighbours!”
The funds have been put towards repairing and redecorating the back garage and outside wall of the hall.
Wendy Dalley, treasurer of Wadebridge Ambulance Hall, comments: “On behalf of the Wadebridge Ambulance Hall Management Committee, I would like to thank McCarthy & Stone for its kind donation. We are in the process of rejuvenating the centre and without the support of others, it would not be possible, so we very much appreciate any help and support.”
For anyone looking for retirement living in Cornwall, Olde Market Court offers a collection of 50 one and two bedroom apartments with prices starting from just £184,950.
Design features include 24 hour emergency call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a video entry system, easy grip lever taps and energy efficient heating. There is also a landscaped garden, residents’ lounge, laundry room, lift and a house manager based at the development.
