Buyers who want to invest in solar panels to make their new property an eco home may be interested in a range of super-efficient solar panels that will arrive in the UK this month.

The energy regulator Ofgem announced in August that solar panel installations in the UK had hit record levels.

Last month, more than 2,000 homeowners had the energy-generating technology fitted to their homes.

Sanyo Europe has announced its creation of the solar module HIT-N235SE10, which is at least seven per cent higher in efficiency than two of the most popular models on the market.

The design of the panels means that they could recoup their investment faster and generate more money through the feed-in tariff scheme.

HIT-N235SE10 solar modules have thinner tabs to allow for more space to capture sunlight and anti-reflection coated glass to prevent sun rays scattering.

As more and more homeowners look to buy into green energy schemes, it could be a good idea to see which panels will suit your home.

A recent report from the Daily Mail's Marketwatch advised property owners to pay upfront for panels, which means they can recoup their investment within ten years.
