London homebuyers can now picture themselves living in a high specification apartment overlooking the city skyline, from the comfort of their armchair.

Developer Redrow has produced a short film clip that is now available to watch on its very own broadband television channel, Redrow.TV. It gives viewers a sneak preview of the stylish one and two-bedroom apartments available at the Lemonade Building, part of the multi award-winning Barking Central development.

Selected apartments are currently available with a £15,000 discount and carpets included.

The Redrow.TV footage is the ideal way for the “internet generation” of homebuyers to view the high interior specification and layouts of these properties close up, including the contemporary kitchens and glossy bathrooms. The video also highlights the fantastic views over the O2 arena and London skyline and includes details on the fantastic local amenities such as the 19 minute train journey to Fenchurch Street Station.

Tonia Tyler, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “In our experience the internet is now the first port of call for many people searching for a new home. Therefore, by giving them more to see, we hope it will further tempt them to come to Barking and see this fantastic development in person.

“The film clip is just a small taster of what we have on offer at The Lemonade Building. It serves as an informative guide to the stand out elements of the development and the surrounding locality, including its excellent transport links to the city. Viewers can see inside two of our professionally decorated and beautifully furnished show apartments.”

The premier of the film also coincides with New Homes Month, which is running from September 4th. Organised by the New Homes Marketing Board, this month-long event aims to highlight the overriding benefits that come with owning a brand new home compared to an older, second hand property.

As well as featuring high specification fixtures and fittings, apartments at the Lemonade Building will have all of the advantages associated with being brand new – they are easy to maintain, energy efficient, kinder to the environment and protected by the NHBC 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty.

The Lemonade Building, a 17-storey block of 136 apartments, stands close to the spot where R-Whites Lemonade was once manufactured. It’s also the final chapter of a hugely successful regeneration story.

The wider scheme, Barking Central, has created more than 500 residential apartments, as well as prime retail space, a new state of the art library and lifelong learning centre, a hotel and the unique feature of a specially created arboretum planted with 40 mature trees. Only recently the development picked up its second prestigious Housing Design award.

Two-bedroom apartments enjoy the luxury of en-suite to master bedroom and all properties have a balcony for that all-important outdoor space. Prices start from £171,000 for a one-bedroom home.

For more information about the apartments available in The Lemonade Building and HomeBuy Direct, visit the marketing suite.
