Retirees in Essex are being invited to register their interest now for McCarthy & Stone’s new Retirement Living development Tythe Court on Collier Row Road in Romford.
The development, which will comprise 42 one and two bedroom independent living retirement apartments, is being built exclusively for the over-60s. By registering their interest now, prospective purchasers will be among the first to receive information on the new apartments once they are released for sale.
Wendy Slingo, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South East, comments: “To make the most of your retirement years you want peace of mind, comfort and independence. Our new development in Romford will offer retirees just that and more. The apartments are designed to be low maintenance and will benefit from modern fittings, good security and will have a number of specialist features.”
Each apartment at the development will comprise an open plan lounge/ dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom. A number of additional features aimed at offering peace of mind have been incorporated, such as 24 hour emergency call points and a security entry system.
Electrical sockets are positioned at a raised height to reduce bending and light switches are illuminated making them easier to locate. The apartments also benefit from easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen, along with energy efficient heating.
Residents at Tythe Court will also be able to enjoy landscaped gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family or friends to stay at the development’s guest suite.
Tythe Court is situated at the heart of Romford, a vibrant town rich in heritage. Romford is home to The Liberty which is the region’s premier shopping location and the development is a stone’s throw from the local high street featuring all the amenities that one would expect. There is also a historic open air market, which dates back more than 750 years.
As Romford is now covered under the London Borough of Havering, it entitles residents access to the Freedom Pass scheme, which offers free use of the extensive transport links across London.
First occupations at Tythe Court are anticipated in March 2011.
