For many house hunters, buying a new home can be a long, laborious process, often taking months to find a home that you fancy. But for Jerry and Jo McCole it was love at first sight when they visited Taylor Wimpey’s Silver Birches development in Bolton.

Jerry explains: “Moving to this part of Bolton had always been on the cards as Jo is originally from that area, but we’d never got round to formally house hunting. We happened to be driving past Silver Birches one day, saw the Taylor Wimpey sign and decided to take a look. We immediately fell in love with the development and booked in to view the show home there and then!

After viewing the five bedroom three storey Prestbury show home, Jerry and Jo decided it was the house for them.

“Because we have three grown up boys, we needed a house with plenty of space. The town house style is perfect for us as it’s spread over three floors and we’ve found the layout to be well thought out and versatile, meaning we can all have our own space.”

As Jerry and Jo wanted to move into their new home straight away, they took advantage of the housebuilder’s Part Exchange scheme which helps home buyers to avoid time and stress spent waiting to sell their current home and purchasers’ chains which can often fall through.

“This is the second time we’ve part exchanged our home but with Taylor Wimpey the whole move was much slicker and straightforward.” added Jo. “Jan, the sales executive was fantastic, she explained the whole home buying process and ran through all of the options available to us. We’re very pleased with our new home and hope to have many happy years here!”

Sam Williams, associate sales director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “Jerry and Jo’s move was such a success due to the fact they could move into their new home immediately by using the Part Exchange scheme. Under the scheme Taylor Wimpey acts as the cash buyer, simplifying the whole process and helping to save movers some cash too!”

Silver Birches is a beautiful development of just 45 three, four and five bedroom homes set in a fantastic suburban location with prices starting from just £230,000.
