When Tracey Powell and Paul McCormick decided to get married they knew they wanted to start their life as husband and wife in a brand new home, and with the wedding date fast approaching, they had to act fast.

Luckily for them they visited Taylor Wimpey’s Glasdir development in Ruthin and instantly fell in love with it, wasting no time in securing a five bedroom Llandegla style home. They also took advantage of the leading housebuilder’s popular Part Exchange* scheme meaning they could move in almost straight away.

Tracey said: “Paul and I had our hearts set on a new home to start married life in. With the wedding in February, we were keen to find a place and move as quickly as possible. I’m originally from Wrexham and have always lived in North Wales so wanted to find a home in the area.

“When we visited Glasdir we immediately knew it was for us. As it’s surrounded by the Clwydyan range it’s absolutely stunning and since we’ve moved here we’ve really taken advantage of its rural location. Our dog Rogan gets particularly excited when its time for walkies!”

Paul added: “The part exchange scheme was a great help to us as it meant Taylor Wimpey would buy our home, enabling us to be able to move straight into a new one. We also didn’t have the worry of buyer’s chains collapsing – which was a huge weight off our minds!”

The Llandegla style home that Tracey and Paul bought is a spacious five bedroom property spread over three floors, providing plenty of versatile living space. Combining a dual aspect reception room and kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, three generous bedrooms and modern bathroom on the first floor and master bedroom with en suite bathroom and further bedroom, which could double up as a study, on the second floor. A detached single garage and private garden complete this property.

Julie Harper, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We’re really pleased we were able to help Tracey and Paul move into their new home so quickly and wish them all the best for their forthcoming wedding. Part exchange is fantastic if you’re struggling to sell your current home as you are guaranteed a buyer. If the scheme sounds like it might be the solution for you, why not pay us a visit to find out more?”

Glasdir is a beautiful development of three, four and five bedroom homes, set on the outskirts of Ruthin and surrounded by scenic countryside. As well as being an NHBC award winning site it has also been recognised for its green credentials, winning the 2008 Welsh BREEAM award for its Eco homes. There is an excellent selection of schools nearby as well as a fantastic range of local amenities.

Prices at the development currently start from £145,755. For further information visit the marketing suite open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
