The final home has been sold at a popular Colchester development.

Redrow Homes is celebrating after selling out at the The Myle, off Mill Road, but is not ruling out future developments in the area.

Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: "There's always been a high demand for our homes in Essex and, whilst we're delighted to have sold out at The Myle, we will certainly not be ruling out further ventures in Colchester and the surrounding areas to build on our successes here.

"In the meantime, we are still building homes 50 miles away in Loughton, for purchasers who want to be even closer to London and also in Heybridge, near Maldon. With our high quality craftsmanship and great choice of designs, we have obviously struck on a winning formula that Essex homebuyers appreciate."

There is a selection two and three-bedroom homes at The Rodings, in Loughton, located on the edge of Epping Forest, yet just a short tube journey into the centre of London.

Loughton is a sought-after area for London commuters who prefer a more peaceful life. The Rodings is a short walk to Debden tube station, which takes you into the centre of the capital in just 30 minutes, whilst being close to the natural beauty and tranquillity of Epping Forest where you can roam miles of footpaths and cycleways.

Comparing favourably to London price tags, two-bedroom homes are priced from £259,950 and three-bedroom homes from £284,950.

Executive homes at The Lakes, in Heybridge, are in a beautiful setting surrounded by water on three sides and boast a high specification including the latest statement-making kitchen designs, with floor to ceiling units and top name appliances, and modern bathrooms. Prices for this stylish collection of four and five bedroom homes are from £339,950 to £515,950.

Also building in Ispwich, Redrow has a range of homes available at Bramford Gardens, priced from just £99,950 for a two-bedroom apartment to £179,950 for a three-bedroom home.
